Linlithgow Golf Club: Tee Booking

Dear Member,

I’m pleased to report that over 100 members used the Scottish Golf app for scoring yesterday, and 75% of those returned a verified score. It is apparent however that the way we have set up the online tee booking system to allow both casual and competition play and to suit our different membership categories has led to occasional difficulties with bookings due to glitches in the Scottish Golf software.

We have now decided, in conjunction with Scottish Golf, that it would be beneficial to take the tee booking system offline for a period to enable them to resolve these issues.

For this reason, we have decided to revert to using BRS as our tee booking system for the remainder of the season.

We will continue to use the Scottish Golf app and software for competitions, our website and for booking the practice area due to the success of these elements.

New booking arrangements

With effect from 7am on Thursday 25th June, members should use BRS to book tee times for Thursday 2nd July onwards using the BRS app or via the following link: https://members.brsgolf.com/linlithgow/login

Note therefore that bookings up to the Wednesday the 1st of July will still be held in the Scottish Golf system.

For those members who have joined the club in the last couple of months, Jonny McEwan will be in touch with you from Monday 22nd June to commence the set-up of a BRS account. If you do not have a BRS account and have not heard from Jonny by the end of Monday, please contact him on clubhouse@linlithgowgolf.co.uk.

We would again thank all of our members for their patience during this time. The period since we have reopened has been immensely beneficial for ourselves and Scottish Golf in developing the system at no financial cost to our Club and we expect to adopt a fully developed version at the end of the season.

Kind regards,

Dougie Cockburn
Captain
